FAQs

The waterproofing we use for the roof is either Grey or White. The colour of the waterproofing is not colour fast and will fade. If you would prefer to not have the colour fading, we recommend that you paint over the waterproofing to your desired colour.

*You do not need to paint the waterproofing if you don’t want to.*

We recommend using a Pure Acrylic paint. It has a higher elasticity than other paints and won’t crack as easily due to the Polyurethane being a very flexible product.

The manufacturers spec states that the application needs to have a minimum of 3 layers. Depending on the size of the job, we can apply a layer a day to allow for the drying time over night. Bigger jobs may need more days depending on size.

Polyurethane has a NO maintenance working life of 25 years. Other waterproofing systems generally need maintenance coats every 2-3 years. With Polyurethane you can get away with a “Set it & Forget it” maintenance structure.

While Polyurethane may have a higher upfront cost, it’s the smarter investment in the long run. Over a 25-year period, our Polyurethane system proves to be far more cost-effective compared to standard waterproofing methods. Traditional systems typically need to be redone every 5–6 years, adding up to significantly higher expenses. With Polyurethane, you pay once and enjoy decades of reliable, maintenance-free protection.

Any surface with a high amount of water, can become slippery. We add silica sand onto the surface with the product to add a bit of grit just to help make the surface have more grip.
